The Aquatic Virus Workshop 9 was a conference hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in June of 2018. The conference was a draw for virologists internationally, as they presented their research over the course of a week. For the visitors, it was a look into the future of their field. As a designer, this project was a chance to define what that future looks like.
I developed custom type for the conference, with an emphasis on curves to give it a sense of kinetic motion not unlike that of water. For my poster designs advertising the conference, I took apart and rebuilt some of the graphics used in virology reports with the intent of making these images part of a broader visual language.

For my wedding, I concepted and designed formal invitations. My process brought me to the idea of playbill design, and I executed on that vision with the intent of giving the recipient a premium feeling experience upon opening their invitation.
I worked with Porridge Papers in Lincoln, NE to get my invitations letterpressed on their custom paper with a deckled edge. Each invitation included one of thirteen different photographs of myself and my fiancé, so that our guests could share which photo they received. The final touch was a wax seal that matched our Boho theme.
